What NCCCO Requires of Every Candidate
If your course leads to NCCCO exams, you'll need to meet the certifying body's candidate rules as well as our school's admission requirements.
At Least 18 Years Old
NCCCO requires certification candidates to be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements
Candidates must meet NCCCO's physical requirements for the certification they're pursuing.
Substance Abuse Policy
Candidates must follow NCCCO's substance abuse policy.
Valid Photo ID
Bring a valid government-issued photo ID to your exams.
Written Exams
Pass the written exams for your certification.

What are the admission requirements for crane school?
Requirements depend on the course. Our admissions team reviews the school's requirements for your course with you. Courses that lead to NCCCO exams also require you to meet NCCCO's candidate rules, including being at least 18.
Do I need experience to enroll?
Not for every course. The 120-hour fixed/swing cab course is designed for beginners, while some shorter courses assume prior crane experience. We'll recommend the right one.
How do I pay for my course?
Students use GI Bill® benefits, workforce funding, employer sponsorship or self-pay. Our funding page explains each option.
What should I have ready before I enroll?
Have a valid photo ID and, if you're using benefits or funding, your approval paperwork — for example, your GI Bill® Certificate of Eligibility.
