The city limit is the commute
From the civic center, or from Lake June Road and Pioneer Road, point southeast on Seagoville Road. Hickory Tree and Elam are the cross streets people use to reach that road. You are in Seagoville in about 8 miles. On a normal evening that is 15 minutes, and a freeway is optional. I-20 east is there if you want one exit instead of the local road, but most neighbors skip it.
A 5:10 departure from the middle of Balch Springs is enough for the 5:30 start. At 9:30 you reverse the same street. There is no overnight stay hiding in this schedule.
The class itself
You would be enrolled in Mobile Crane Operations, Fixed/Swing Cab, for 40 hours, with Warren Miller teaching the evenings. Nights run Monday through Friday. The first one is November 9 and the last one is November 20, both in 2026. Test fees for the NCCCO exams are part of the course, not a second invoice. Call (214) 763-0513 for tuition. It is not listed on this page.
The session needs five enrolled students. Fewer than that, and the school moves everyone to the following evening start or refunds them in full. A license, a high school diploma or GED, and steel-toed boots are what you bring. Hard hats are on hand to lend.
Staying on this side of Dallas
Balch Springs is already southeast. The yard does not pull you toward downtown or up to the north loop. You keep your daytime hours, train after them, and sleep in your own place. That is the whole point of running this course at night.
