I-35E to I-20, then the DeSoto evening class

DeSoto is farther west than Lancaster, along Hampton Road and the Town Center. The same I-20 run still gets you to the yard and home again.

Start from the interstate side when you can

Hampton Road is the local north-south street, and the Town Center sits near I-35E. From Hampton, the evening route is I-35E north to I-20, then east into Seagoville. About 22 miles and about 30 minutes. The west side of DeSoto adds a few minutes before you reach the interstate. If you have a choice, start closer to I-35E.

Outbound at 5:00 can be slow on I-35E. Give it until 4:50 if you are coming from Hampton. The 9:30 release is kinder: the same two highways back are usually lighter than the trip out.

Still a night class, even from here

You are looking at the 40-hour Mobile Crane Operations Fixed/Swing Cab course. Warren Miller is the instructor. The calendar is ten weeknights, November 9 through November 20, 2026, 5:30 PM until 9:30 PM. NCCCO test fees are in the course. Call (214) 763-0513 for tuition details. They are not published on the site for this session.

Five students is the mark. Miss it, and the school places you in the next evening start or refunds the payment in full. Bring a driver's license, diploma or GED, and steel-toed boots. A hard hat is yours to borrow if you need it.

West Dallas County, same night home

DeSoto is a real drive, not a neighbor-across-the-fence drive. It is still one evening, not a week away from home. That is why the hours sit after the workday.

DeSoto: send the seat request

Fill out the form on the evening-class page. The city field should say DeSoto. Expect a call, not a charge, as the next step.
