The lake is the wrong way at 5:00
From the downtown side of Rowlett, Belt Line Road south is the direct line. It passes Sunnyvale, then Mesquite, then Seagoville. About 25 miles and about 35 minutes. I-30 west to I-635 south to I-20 east covers more pavement and is rarely faster at 5:00. Stay off the bridge unless you already live on the west side of the lake and the interstate is genuinely closer to your door.
A 4:50 departure is the safe one. Class ends at 9:30, and Belt Line north is the return. You sleep in Rowlett.
Same course, longer approach
The class is the 40-hour Mobile Crane Operations Fixed/Swing Cab program. Warren Miller teaches it in the evening. First night: November 9, 2026. Last night: November 20. Hours each night: 5:30 to 9:30. NCCCO test fees are included rather than added later. Call (214) 763-0513 for the tuition conversation.
Five enrolled students are required. If the count is short, you transfer to the next evening start or the school issues a full refund. Bring your license, a diploma or GED, and steel-toed boots. A hard hat can be lent for the course.
North Dallas County can still make a night class
Rowlett is not next door. It is close enough that a 9:30 dismissal still means your own bed, which is the reason this session is at night instead of all day.
