Keep your card current. Exams every Monday.
NCCCO certifications expire every 5 years. We run recertification written exams every Monday and walk you through the code and standard changes since you last tested, so you are not surprised on exam day.
Request received.
Thanks. We will call you shortly. For anything urgent, call (214) 763-0513.
How recertification works here
- Book a Monday. Call, or use the form above. Bring your current NCCCO card and photo ID.
- Refresh, then test. The morning covers what has changed in the standards since your last exam. The written recertification exam follows.
- Practical only if lapsed. If your certification has already expired, NCCCO requires the practical exam again. We give all seven on site by appointment.
Pricing
Recertification pricing depends on the certification and the number of exams. Call (214) 763-0513 for a quote; group rates apply for three or more operators.
Lapsed card? If your certification has expired you will need the practical exam as well. See practical testing.
Recertification questions.
Can my company send several operators at once?
Yes. Group recertification can be scheduled at our yard or on site. See the employer page for on-site days.
When should I recertify?
NCCCO certifications are valid for 5 years. You can take the recertification written exam in the twelve months before your card expires. If you let it lapse, you may have to retest fully, so do not wait until the last month.
Do I need to retake the practical exam to recertify?
Not if you recertify before your certification expires and meet NCCCO’s recertification requirements. The practical is required again only if your certification has lapsed.
What should I bring to recertify?
Your current NCCCO card, a government photo ID and your NCCCO candidate information. We will confirm the paperwork when you book.

Card expiring soon?
Book a Monday now. Waiting until it lapses means retesting the practical too.
